VetusOnline Electric Propulsion Charge Time Calculator

Estimate charging time for a 48V electric propulsion battery bank based on battery type, battery capacity, charging voltage, charger current and state of charge. The calculator also estimates expected AC current draw at 240V and warns if it may exceed a typical 10A or 15A shore power connection.

Step 1: Select the battery type. Battery type affects charging efficiency and the final top-off phase from 80% to 100%.
Step 2: Enter the total nominal battery pack size in kWh.

For a 48V system, batteries must be entered in multiples of 4.
Enter the Ah rating of each 12V battery.
Step 3: Select charging type. 24V charging is converted internally by the E-LINE system. 48V charging is direct to the battery bank.
Step 4: Enter the charger output current at the selected charging voltage.
Step 5: Enter the start state of charge.
Step 6: Enter the target state of charge.
