This tool recommends a standard VETUS propeller-shaft diameter from engine power, engine speed and gearbox reduction. It is based on the VETUS chart for Duplex 1.4462 shafts. Enter the engine's maximum torque as well when this value is available.

Engine power (kW): Use the engine's rated maximum power. Decimal comma or decimal point can be used.

Maximum engine RPM at rated power:

Forward gearbox reduction ratio: For a 2.10:1 reduction, enter 2.10. Use the ratio for forward propulsion.

Maximum engine torque (Nm) optional: Recommended for high-torque diesel engines. The calculator uses the larger result from the rated-power check and the maximum-torque check.
